Public Notification: Invitation to comment on RSPO Recertification Assessment (RA-01) of Kretam Holdings Berhad (RSPO Membership No: 1-0189-15-000-00), Plantation Management Unit – Abedon Bhd – Abedon POM & Estates, Lahad Datu Sabah, Malaysia
Dear Stakeholders,
This is to inform that the above Management Unit under the Parent Company Kretam Holdings Berhad with RSPO membership number 1-0189-15-000-00 had appointed Intertek Certification International Sdn Bhd to conduct the Initial Certification/Recertification Audit/Surveillance Audit (RA-01) at Abedon POM and its supply base, located at Lahad Datu, Sabah. The audit will be conducted from 12 – 15 September 2022 against the requirements of:
▪ Malaysia National Interpretation (MYNI) 2019
▪ RSPO Principles & Criteria 2018
In brief, Kretam Holdings Berhad ("KHB") was incorporated on 4 February 988, and listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 18 January 1989. The principal activities of KHB Group are:- A) Oil palm plantation; B) Production and sale of :- 1) oil palm products 2) refined palm oil products 3) processed palm oil 4) fertilizers C) Investment holding KHB group has 23,873 hectares of plantation land, 3 palm oil mills, a refinery and a fertilizer plant. They had been a member of RSPO since 2016 and is committed to full compliance with the RSPO P&C and full certification in all aspects of its operations.
